Founder Story
I am Doug Suiter, founder of Video4. I have spent years inside the practical middle of video production: editing, shaping stories, building workflows, training teams, solving delivery problems, and making sure the final film was useful after the first viewing.
Video4 is the result of that experience. It is a video company for organisations that care about the outcome as much as the image.
The best production process makes the work clearer before the camera rolls and more useful after the final export.
Background
Before founding YourFilm and then Video4, Doug worked across broadcast television, short-form promos, TVCs, commercial advertising, branded content, post-production, and creative direction.
That work has connected him with major international brands and studios including Disney, Technicolor, Nickelodeon, Sony, and other recognised media and entertainment organisations.
Recent Credit
Doug recently worked with acclaimed director Alex Proyas on the upcoming feature film R.U.R. as assistant editor. It is a recent post-production and cinematic storytelling credit that sits alongside his commercial, branded, and post-production experience.
It also reflects the shape of Video4: creative judgement, technical fluency, and the ability to move between film, brand, and modern production workflows.
The Work Before The Work
A film can look polished and still fail if nobody has agreed what it needs to change. Who is it for? What should they understand, feel, believe, or do next? What version will sales need? What should live on social? What needs to be reusable later?
That is where Video4 starts. We define the commercial reason the video exists, then shape the creative and production approach around that outcome.
The Point Of View
Video4 operates with a loyal, curated network of experienced freelance film and television professionals developed over many years through previous ventures and productions.
That keeps the company boutique, flexible, and scalable. The point is not to look large. It is to assemble the right people for the job, then keep the work focused.
Doug was one of the two original co-founders of YourFilm. Alongside the company-building work, he built much of the creative, technical, workflow, post-production, training, and delivery infrastructure that helped it scale.
Video4 began as a way to carry that operational knowledge forward with a sharper point of view: fewer assumptions, clearer outcomes, and production shaped around what the work needs to achieve.
Doug is now based in Dublin, with Video4 operating internationally across Europe and Australia through ongoing relationships, collaborations, and projects in both regions.
Entrepreneurial And Future Facing
Doug founded FCPTalent and has stayed entrepreneurial and creatively driven throughout his career. He has a long-standing interest in emerging technology, creative workflows, and the systems that make good work easier to deliver.
He was an early adopter of AI-assisted creative tools and workflows and is also the founder of RTHMIC.app, a related music project built around a subtle mirror idea: Music That Does Work.
